Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy

  • Cultivate and steward major donors

  • Build corporate and community partnerships

  • Expand sponsorship opportunities

  • Strengthen recurring and monthly giving

  • Develop grant strategies and submit selected applications

  • Improve donor database systems and reporting

  • Coach and support the Board of Directors in fundraising

  • Create long-term fundraising tools, procedures, and measurable goals

Engagement Details

  • Approximately 10 to 15 hours per week

  • Initial six-month consulting contract

  • Opportunity for extension based on performance, organizational needs, and available funding

  • Based in Newhall, California

  • Anticipated contract investment of approximately $20,000 to $30,000, subject to Board approval

Circle of Hope Is Hiring a Fractional Director of Development and Community Partnerships

Circle of Hope Cancer Support Center is seeking an experienced nonprofit fundraising professional, firm, or consultant to serve as our Fractional Director of Development and Community Partnerships.

This individual will provide executive-level fundraising leadership while working collaboratively with our Executive Board, Board of Directors, administrative staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners. The primary goal of this position is to build a sustainable development program, diversify revenue, strengthen donor relationships, and expand Circle of Hope’s presence throughout the community.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in nonprofit development, major-gift fundraising, corporate partnerships, sponsorship development, and organizational capacity building. Experience working with healthcare, cancer-support, or human-services organizations is preferred.

We are looking for a strategic, relationship-focused professional who can create measurable progress while building a strong fundraising foundation for Circle of Hope’s future.
